How the 3 stages of emotionally focused therapy can help you

The three stages used in emotionally focused therapy are:

  1. De-escalating, assessing problems and letting them stabilize so you can move forward.
  2. Restructuring Interactions with one another to help meet your partner's needs and validate one another's communication style.
  3. Integrating new skills by understanding and acknowledging previous habits or cyclical behavior and implementing new skills to solve old problems.
